When promoting your organization or internet site on twitter, it can at times seem like followers are hard to come by. You look at your competitors’ twitter accounts and see that they have thousands and thousands, and compared with your modest few dozen, you feel inadequate and ask yourself whether it’s worth bothering with after all.

If you have 86 followers who you speak to and whom know that you’re friendly and approachable, they are much more likely to purchase from you or visit the websites you suggest than if you blast out tweets to 86,000 people who follow so many people that tweets go unread and who, often, are robots who don’t read any tweets at all.
Establishing interactions is what makes twitter and facebook the successes they are, for enterprises and internet marketers. For sure, it might feel wonderful to have tens of millions of followers, but that’s a vain, shallow victory. The true achievement is interacting with your buyers, and future buyers, in a way they can relate to, and in ways that they value.
The harder you work at relationship building, the more followers you will attract in the long-run, and the more people will have faith in you and your home business. You can go to a (potentially disreputable) web-site and purchase followers, but will those followers ever decide to buy from you? Will they ever then click your links? If they are prepared to be purchased, they are either automated (and hence no use to your business), or there for self-interest (and therefore no use to your enterprise).
The lure to find weird and wonderful strategies to bring in millions of followers in 7 days can be great, but to really expand your business, organic, authentic human followers are what you require. And 100 of those are well worth 100,000 fakers.
