Have you noticed how costly it has become to send your child to public school? It seems like my son and daughter are constantly bringing home notices asking fees for different activities as well as supplies for classes. I do not remember this from when I was in school. For some classes we needed to have a certain kind of paper or writing utensil, however these were in the upper grades. My children began needing special supplies in elementary school.
When my son was in second grade he brought home information regarding a school fund raiser that he was going to be involved with to help raise money to buy a computer for their science class. This particular school fund raiser involved selling various office supplies. This made sense since a large office supplier sponsored the fundraiser. The office supplier was going to offer them money off of the computer based on how many supplies were sold. There were many things to buy including printer paper, bulk pens and pencils, ink cartridges, address labels and other office supplies…
