The Radio City Christmas Spectacular will be available for purchase on DVD. It will be the first time a show will be filmed and available for purchase on the small screen. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring The Rockettes DVD will include the entire 90 minute live show featuring the world famous Radio City Rockettes with their signature eye high kicks and astounding precision choreography.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular is an annual show held every holiday season at Radio City Music Hall featuring over 140 performers, lavish costumes, music and dance. The Radio City Rockettes are the popular dance group that does a majority of the dancing in the show.

It began in 1933 as a show between movie screenings. In 1932, the show was given its own stage with The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers and the living Nativity as the show’s only acts. In 1979 that the Christmas show was expanded to ninety minutes to accommodate a number of additional acts. Other acts have been added to the show since.
