Our world today is considered as one that is so modernized and technologically advanced. A world so convenient and yet plagued by so many social problems - the greenhouse effect, the unprecedented increase in petrol prices and now the increasing number of animals, which are considered as endangered.

Several environmental organizations have called for the preservation of the environment, while other groups have decided to take concrete actions to protect the wildlife as these animals help preserve the balance of nature. Some researchers have decided to study the movement of the deer and other animals in the wild so as to see their reproductive pattern and to identify their biological needs. This way, humans are more equipped to help these animals in case they are injured or if they will need human intervention so that their breed will continue. We have heard the story of the dodo and how it became extinct. In a world dominate by knowledge and information, being ignorant is not an option. We need to learn much about everything around us, and thanks to new technologies such as digital cameras, we can now observe nature, live from the comforts of our homes.

Most video systems used to study wildlife are activated through infrared, and can be categorized as passive infrared (PIR) or active infrared (AIR). PIR are activated by motion or even the difference in the temperature of the background and the subject while the AIR system is activated when the subject passes the “beam” between the transmitter and receiver. Aside from this, live cams used for wildlife management can be further subdivided into 35MM photography, digital still photography, digital video and VHS video and most units are powered by dry cell batteries. Digital still photography systems, digital video are usually PIR activated and uses a flash card to store images while VHS video is also PIR activated storage is on VHS video tape.

Of course, field studies have already been made to identify which camera is best used to monitor wildlife and the answer differs depending on what kind of animals are being observed and the location of the cameras. Some use remote cameras to census deer population while others try to determine age structures, identification of bucks to be included in harvest or protected from harvest, get the sex ratio, and identify the general condition of the animals. Some people say that the use of live cams in wildlife management is not only for research but also, it improves the quality of deer and hunting experience as hunters can now study the patterns of the deer they want to catch.

Now, hunters have a better idea what their deer is doing at a specific time, which enables them to create a hunting plan to anticipate the daily patterns of their game. Not only that, they also get an idea how other factors such as the weather affects deer pattern. Of course, other uses of live cameras for deer and wildlife management include advertising and marketing of hunting operations.

Live wildlife cameras can help researchers identify which deer can already be harvested and which ones need to be protected from the hunters. Learn more about deers and their daily patterns. Visit http://www.dakota-wild.com

Puppies are placed with Puppy Raising families at seven to eight weeks of age. They remain there until they are roughly twelve months old. Puppies are always Veterinarian checked before they leave us, and are started on heartworm preventative. Puppies are born with closed eyes, so they can not see and they also can not produce any body heat themselves the first 10 - 14 days. While their eyes are closed we make sure to talk a lot, touch them and hold them close when we sort out them, so they stay inviting and tender.

Puppies are born with abilities that barely extend beyond suckling and sleeping. During the first few weeks, they pile on one another in an try to conserve body heat and paddle over to the nearest teat for nourishment. Puppies are very ingenuous to intestinal parasites. Some intestinal parasites like hookworms are so awful that they may kill a puppy and may be transmitted to humans. Puppies are mainly removed at seven weeks of age. They are then sold to brokers who pack them in crates for transport and sale to pet shops. Keeping track of your puppy’s weight is very major, with puppy weight estimates, you can feed your puppies with desirable diet and keep them in good health and robust.

When purchasing equipment for a home aquarium, don’t forget to look at aquarium stands - the tank itself can be quite heavy.  Because regular furniture, like a TV stand, might not be constructed to support the weight of your tank, it is important to purchase a stand that was made specifically for your tank, so as to avoid making a big mess.

There are fish tank stands for many types of tanks but consider possibilities when shopping for stands.  When choosing a stand for your tank, make sure it is the proper size and dimensions.  Be sure to consider how well it fits in - you don’t want it to stick out like a sore thumb.  Another thing to consider is that glass fish tanks don’t need special bottom support, but acrylic fish tanks need a stand to support the bottom.

You can buy a fish tank stand in wood, metal, plastic, and more!  Cabinet-style stands have the advantage of offering you a place to store your fish tank supplies.   If price is a consideration, you should think about a plain stand made of metal.

Do you view your fish tank from your couch, or while standing? Keep the viewing height in mind while shopping for your tank stand.    The standard aquarium stand is 30 inches high. Measure the area where you will place the stand to make sure it fits. Make the tank a focal point of your room.

An article excerpt for Truth About Cat Myths

Myth: Cats can take care of themselves and are low maintenance. Truth about cat myth: while cats may project an image of being independent, this does not necessarily mean that they should be given the least care. It certainly is not true that cats can live up to nine lives either. In fact, the average life of stray, undomesticated cats is only three years. Cats also need proper care, nourishment and attention too.

If you have a small dog like a chihuahua you should seriously consider getting some Dog Steps to help them get up and down from their favorite spot.

You see, small dogs have small bones and constantly jumping down from a couch or bed can cause stress on their bones and joints leading to painful suffering that will increase as the years go by.

By getting doggy steps you can help keep them healthy as they will now have 3 or 4 nicely carpeted steps to climb instead of having to jump up and down.

This will not only make them happier and less frustrated trying to climb up high objects but will keep them healthier too.

We had to choose just one. Even though the Cockapoo puppies for sale are known for their excellent temperament, manageable sizes and cleanliness (they hardly shed at all), we really wanted to stick to getting only one pet. Actually, this was one more than we bargained for in the first place.

Having a pet in the family seems as common in the United States as having children. In fact there are more homes with pets than there are with children because of the number of people that keep animals once they are done raising children and because of the number of young single people that adopt a pet. We spend millions of dollars annually to care for our animal friends. There are many exotic pets that people have tried, but by far the most popular pets continue to be the dog and cat.
