How Do You Feel?

How do you feel when you walk into motorcycle dealers? If you’re like me, you probably feel the same way you do when you head to a car dealership. I always feels excited: as though I’m looking to find a treasure. Unfortunately, most of the time I leave the dealership feeling dejected and as though I’m worthless. The big problem with going to a dealership of any kind is that you have to deal with the dealers!

Motorcycle dealers, just like any dealers, generally get paid on commission. If they’re not paid on commission, they are given bonuses for the amount of stock they sell. This is why they push the most expensive piece of machinery that they can on you. All too often, people come out of a motorcycle dealer unhappy and feeling as though they got taken. Generally, they do! Before you start looking for a new motorcycle, do your homework. You can usually discover what a valid price for a used or new motorcycle is online, and you may even find one that you will want to purchase and have shipped to you! The rule of the day: never walk into the dealership blind, as the dealer will likely try to help you walk into a wall.
