In Japanese grammar, to express “not”, you can use dewanai or janai. Dewanai and janai are after the verb conjugation of da. Using dewanai and janai is simple though as you need to do is to add them to the end of a sentence. For example, Kare wa kanemochi janai or Kanojo wa kanemochi dewanai. The former means he’s not rich and the latter means she’s not rich.
